IADVL KN Best Dissertation Award 2023

·                Only candidates who have submitted dissertation in the year 2022-23 MD/DNB (Dermatology) can apply.

·                Only the Synopsis of the dissertation to be sent to Karnataka State IADVL Secretary by e-mail only (in MS word format) by 20th August 2023. The synopsis should be written like a paper for publication and should include the following categories 

1.              Introduction

2.              Aims and objectives

3.              Material and methods

4.              Results

5.              Discussion

6.              Conclusion

7.              What is new in this study

8.              References

 ·       The applications and the thesis will be randomly coded – numbered by the Honorary General Secretary and then sent (without revealing the author/ guide/ city/institution) to the dissertation evaluation committee with blinding of names of candidates and identification of institutes or cities.

·       Members of the thesis evaluation committee will study the soft copies individually and then hold preliminary discussions to short list good dissertations keeping in mind the criteria set forth. The committee will consist of three Post- graduate guides (preferably members of academy) to be appointed by the president in consultation with the Academy chairperson.

·       Awardee should make a 10 minutes presentation on his/her dissertation during CUTICON KN

·       Prize will be award worth Rs.5000/- Prizes will be given during inaugural ceremony of CUTICON KN.
